A Night Out

Last week on Saturday night, Saiful, Sarah and I went out for dinner at Blue Ginger. We didn't have to pay at all. Heh. Thanks, Sarah.

The Chocolate Mousse

After dinner, we went to have some drinks at Perwira. Then, we decided to go watch Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam 2 at 11.30 PM. We're supposed to watch with Jasmine and Hafiza but their show started at 11 PM.

PHSM2 was confusing. If you have free tickets, like we did, go watch and be awed at how beautiful Maya Karin is. Oh, and the beautiful clothes she wore. It gave me some ideas for my next Raya clothes. =) If no free ticket, no need lah. It was really confusing.

Saiful said that if we watch PHSM2, he's not going to go home after the movie, Sarah and I readily agreed. We never went out with Saiful till late.

And so our little journey begins.

We went to the Esplanade first. But it was wet so we decided to go to the airport instead since it's near. Yes, the airport. At 2 AM. Believe it or not, we saw workers cleaning the floors. At 2 AM! Unbelievable. There goes the idea to lie on the road at the airport.

We played around for a while. Took a few pictures and vandalised the airport. We then went around to find batteries for our cameras. We managed to buy them at Petronas near Bintang but the batteries wasn't good. Haih. No wonder it was cheap.

At 3 AM, we went to have drinks at Perwira again. After about an hour there, we decided to drive around aimlessly for half an hour. We stoppped by at Pustaka. We thought that it'll be nice to chill out there and take some photos.

At Pustaka

Love the lighting. Spooky. We didn't stay long. It was too wet. It was beginning to pour too.

We continue to drive around some more. I was getting pretty sleepy but thanks to Rasyiq, he kept me awake. We finally thought that we have to see sunrise since we've always seen sunsets.

We drove to Canada Hill at 4.30 AM. It was cold and extremely foggy.

It sure does feel like home. England, to those of you who don't know where I come from.

We're pretty tired and sleepy. And so, so cold. But hey, we'll never let that show on camera! Not at that time anyway.

It sort of look spooky too. What with the fog looked like something sinister at times. As if they're going to get you. But I guess that's just my imagination.

Miri at night

It looked more beautiful if you see it with your own eyes.

At 6.12 AM, it was getting brighter. It was too cloudy and foggy. We didn't get to see our sunrise. Pity. Nevertheless, we took some pictures.

It was actually so breathtaking. It was so serene and quiet except for our excited squeals.

Dark. At 6.17 AM.

Light. At 6.17 AM.

I took on our way down. I didn't mean to make it look so spooky at first. But I like it. It seems that throughout the night, when we accidentally took a shot (with or without flash or different functions), they turned out to be much prettier than the ones we intended to do.

Morning has broken...

Birds looking for food. Just like us.

Breakfast at 6.40 AM

This is the first time we had breakfast together this early. We were EXTREMELY sleepy already. This is what we ordered. We had to pee so many times already.

We were so sleepy, it took us some will to munch our food. If I wasn't so hungry, I wouldn't bother eat.

It does look like blood, doesn't it? It's ketchup from roti john at Perwira a few hours ago...

We saw an old man distributing newspapers using motorcycle while a grumpy woman distributes them using a car. The city has awoken and everybody seems to be getting ready for a brand new day.

We saw this man at 2 AM at Jalan Raja. So we were surprised to see him again at nearly 7 AM. As you can see, he's not wearing any footwear. It was a pretty cold morning to be wearing just like that. This shot was taken when the man was looking up at an airplane taking off. Thus began our speculation of him.

From the way he walks around, looking at everything, he must be a government spy! He was given one of the most important jobs of all: making sure morning has come. Or that's what Sarah said anyway. His job requires him to walk around the city to make sure that the road is smooth, flowers blooming, etc. We think that after walking around at this part of town, he will head for the airport. He did look longingly at the plane just now. We couldn't blame him, really. Air Asia did say "Now everyone can fly..."

After that, Saiful said "Let's go to Esplanade". We were surprised when Sarah squealed happily. On the way, you can see so many big houses. I decided to put it here.

That's just a few of them. I'm getting lazy uploading pictures and writing all these.

There are pictures from the beach. Saiful took a nap there. At 8 AM, we went to the airport to purchase my ticket to Kuching.

At the counter, I confidently said "A ticket to Miri please." I repeated it twice and the man was indifferent and asked me where would I like to go. Again, I said "To Miri." Then I just realised my mistake, I quickly said "To Kuching! To Kuching, please. Sorry." The guy was so slamba... hish. I was feeling stupid what with no sleep at all. I was blur and slow. I didn't even realise when the guy said "Do you want to use Fokker?" and I loudly replied "No. EW." When Sarah suddenly laughed loudly, I just turn to look at her blankly.

After checking all my bags in (they weighed 48kg. My luggages weighed more than me!), we finally went home. Arrived at Sarah's house at around 9 AM. I was supposed to sleep at Sarah's house that night.

We all finally slept at 10 AM.

We went to Esplanade that evening but that's another story...

P.S: Saiful sent me this MMS a few days after.

So he's still alive and kicking. So one of our theory is true. His clothes were given to him by the police as a uniform. But he obviously thought that the shoes were uncomfortable and thought it is more natural to walk barefooted.

My laptop

It was all my fault. I was so scared to tell my dad. I lost EVERyTHING. My 2000 MP3s, hundreds of pictures, all my videos, my stuff, my school work... EVERYTHING.

My cousins came last night to play Warcraft. So my dad asked Abang Mahathir to reformat it. My dad was reprimanding me in front of them. Like I knew he would. He asked me repeatedly to come and see the laptop. To look at it. While frowning at me, asking me what happened. Asking me to fix it. HOW THE HELL CAN I?? I don't know anything.

It was my fault anyway. He did ask me if there's any important things in there. Oh no, no important things. Just all my memories and everything. Nothing important to him. All I can say is my 2000 MP3s. He scoffed at that. I ran away. I couldn't face it. I couldn't bear to see everything erased.

And today, my brother asked me to open my laptop. I was so scared to see what I would see. Or what I wouldn't see. I saw a blue background, with only four icons. I was suddenly teary-eyed. I saw my brother installed that stupid bloody game. So that's why my dad was so impatient. He wanted to install a stupid game. He couldn't wait. Why don't he just take the bloody laptop then? Asshole.

My mum called him up when I'm typing this. He called up, asking why didn't I bla bla bla, his usual crap. I interupted him, telling him it doesn't matter now. And I hung up on him. For the first time in my life.

Good Luck!

Yea, that's it. -off to study-

P.S: After exam, which is on the 18th (this Friday), off to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire...! WEEE...! Share la my enthusiasm with me... Way to celebrate, eh? Finish my exam, 2nd semester done, holiday coming up... =) See ya at the cinema!

The Numa Numa Dance

I love the Numa Numa Iei song. And this video clip is about this guy lip-synching the song.

Check it out! Apparently, it's so famous now. It's not complete though and the quality is bad but enjoyable. Got subtitles some more. =)

Oh, in case you don't know, this is the song in Chicken Little.

Sarawak: More Than A Paradise

Sarah invited me to this dinner thing last Monday. A launch of the new Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) logo. Held at Crowne Plaza Riverside, from 7 PM till 10 PM.

This is the old logo, one that has been used since STB is established in 1995. "Sarawak: The Hidden Paradise of Borneo".

And this is the new one. A more sleek and modern look with a new motto: "Sarawak: More Than A Paradise". I took 10 pictures of the same thing and this is the best I can get. I zoomed 11x so it's a bit shaky.

Sarah's mum gave a speech since she is now the new CEO of STB. And then this old minister dude, who is probably best friend with Thomas and Goi, gave a long (boring) winding speech, which I doubt most people listen to, less understand it.

Then they gave an impressive *cough* presentation and then... the food! Ahhh...

The first course. I shamelessly took it, all the while Mona was sniggering at me. I didn't care what the old people at my table think. It's for my blog, damnit! People would want to see this blurry picture of redish things. Don't ask me what it was. We have no idea either.

The best thing was, they served butter prawns with oat! Yuumm... Sorry, no pic of it. Too busy trying to get as many as I shamelessly can.

Well, the best thing of that dinner was we took a lot of pictures and had fun doing it.

Me and Mona with different expressions. We are so lah vain.

From left: Yours truly, Mona, Sarah. We thought these poses were boring so we tried to be silly... See below.

We ended up with lots of blurry pictures because we couldn't stop laughing.

The four of us. From left: Me, Mona, Sarah and Maman. Maman can never smile. A funny guy who won't smile for the camera. Like Saiful.

When we're all done, we went outside... to take more pictures! Oh, the bags in the above pic were gifts! Inside there's a mug, a T-shirt, a CD, a mouse pad, a pamplet and a brochure. Wee! Free stuff!

We went to Coffee Bean after that. This is the Chocolate Cheese Cake. And that's Sarah's hand on the right. I promised her to include this picture because of the appearance of her hand. What the hell, right? I put up lots of pictures with her face actually in it and she told me to put this too. The hand wants 1 second of fame, is it?

Mine and Sarah's hot chocolate. Mine's the bigger one. That's Maman's Dunhill Menthol Light. Score! A guy who smokes menthol. Heh. Maman didn't know he was in the picture. When he did, he was all "Oh take another picture of me posing!". Yeah, sure Mr Metrosexual/Vain... We didn't take any.

I wanted to put vain pictures of me and Sarah waiting outside Parkson for Maman to buy a pack of cigarettes across the street but it's in Sarah's camera. We had this funny conversation while taking pictures.

Nysa: Oh let's take pictures!

Did it surprise you guys that I was the one who suggested it? When we were holding the camera...

Nysa: Don't care if it's weird. Or if people think we're vain. We ARE weird AND vain!

Sarah: Yeah. This is for Friendster! Our lives revolve around it!

Nysa: That is so sad! But it's true... *click* *click* *click*

1st Day of Raya

First of all, Selamat Hari Raya, people! =) Isn't it great to be celebrating with your family? To visit your reletives and eat free food and drinks, see your long lost friends, etc.

I went to visit my grandparents first. Poor Nek Hussein. He's ailing. He's body so frail and skinny. It makes me so sad that he can't remember me at all.

We didn't take any pictures since the camera's batteries were flat. (Hehe. Ain't my fault! La la la) We just got pictures when we went to my uncle's house.

Me and Azee, my second sister.

Me and Daddy. I insisted on taking pictures with him. This picture is the only one I have with Daddy in a long, looooong time. Wished he would smile. Azee, who took this picture took like a lifetime to click the damn thing that he got impatient. Love you, Daddy. I'll never say this out loud though...

I'm holding my cute cousin, Sharip. He's so adorable. My brothers: Udin (farthest right) and Aleng (middle) and Azee (left). I keep scolding Udin for being so freaking tall. Look at him! Hmph.

From left: Me, Sarah, Shazana. We're at Nadia Natasha's house. I don't have that many pictures. Saraaahhh... Send me those pictures, please. I want. =)

Group picture! From upper left: Nadia Natasha, Shazana, Sarah, me. From down left: Err... I don't know her, C-kay, Nadia a.k.a Jompotz. Photo's a bit blurry. Why can't people take proper pictures? Saiful...! I wish you're here to take photos... Haha. =P

Went to visit Rasyiq after that. Our first photo together. How sad is that. We've known each other for years already. Oh, pity I don't have pictures of his house. It's decoreated as if they're celebrating Christmas! But it's very comfy and lovely and nice. I love his house.

Yea, that's about it. I don't want to put more pictures because I don't want to explain who's who. Lazy ba. Do you really want to know my cousins and uncles etc? I think not. I hope the people in the pictures don't mind I put their faces here. =P
