1st Outing

I have no idea what to write. I just feel like blogging. It's early morning and I can't sleep.

Went out for the first time in Kch with Nezz, Lix and Min today. Eh wait. I mean, yesterday. They didn't give me any warning at all... Around 3.30 p.m, tetiba jak Min called asking where my house is. I was suspicious. Of course he won't ask me that 1st thing because he was damn bored at home or something. So while talking to him, I rushed to my brother's room (it faces the road) and then suddenly I saw a DARK GREEN Honda (dunno wat model n I dun care) driving really slowly and it suddenly drove into my house. I shrieked "What are you guys doing here??" Heh.

Rushed outside, asked them what do they want. And they have the nerve to ask "Eh Nisa mek org haus la. Ada aik ka?" Grrr...

The outing was pretty fun. I get to see my old kindy again (it used to be called Tadika Tabuan Laru. Now it's Tadika Sri Mawar. Yuck). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Nezz live so near my kindy. Gosh.

We went to Hock Lee to drink and hang out just to find out that the shop has closed. Last2 gi Open Air in front of Electra House because I said that the ais kacang there is delicious. Yummm... It was SO cheap! RM1.30 ONLY. I looked around to check out other stalls to see the prices and the prices are really low. Gosh, I'm so used with Miri's food price that it's so delightful to eat cheap NICE DELICIOUS good food again. =)

It's great to be home.

Another take on Friendster

I stumbled upon this funny but true essay or wtv you call it on the Net today. I thought it'll be nice to share it with you guys. It's titled Another Take On Friendster by Emi Soekawa in 2004. I extracted it from www.popculturemag.com. God forbid, I don't want to plagiarise...

It starts out innocently enough. The first time you heard about Friendster you thought, “Wow! Great idea! I’ve met a lot of people in this life of mine and I love answering questionnaires. This rocks!” You do a search on a few heads to see if they’re on (okay everyone you’ve ever met, even if you don’t want to contact them ever, just to see if they’ve gotten uglier/fatter, etc.). Excellent! Alice from camp! She’s still alive? Great! You send her a request message to be added to her list of friends. What? That guy you used to work with for two weeks and never really spoke to? Alright! You’re really racking it up there! You are connecting, you are putting technology to work for you.

Then like all things you do, you take it too far. You start adding people at your current job (never a good idea unless you want them to see how the majority of your friends refer to you as either “Ma favorite skanky ho” or post tales of you ODing on their prescription drugs and falling onto trash on the sidewalk). Not really the image you’ve been trying to present in the office.

After a few weeks you take a look at your list of friends. What the hell? These people do not represent your friend base. There are like three good people in there and none of them have written a testimonial about you yet. You look like a loser. “What the fuck? I hate my friends!” So like a desperate illegal immigrant without a good sweatshop owner to turn to, you start scrounging. You begin hounding your real friends to sign up “Come on! It’s really fun! What, you’re not on yet?” They ask you what it’s good for and you’re like, “Uhh, it’s really great, you can look up all the good friends you’ve lost contact with.” They’re like “Um, anyone I’ve lost contact with I probably didn’t really like.” Okay, you know what you can do with your fucking logic? I’m already in this thing people, don’t try and drag me down!

They call you up at work trying to get you to see some clip of William Hung’s stint on “American Idol” that they just emailed you. All you can think is, “What? Is this really up there with logging on to Friendster finally and writing me a testimonial?” You become embittered with the whole process and one day due to an incident you can ask me about if we’re tight like that, you must cancel your account. Story over. Until I register again on Tuesday. Adios People. And to you guys who never got around to writing me testimonials all I can say is, one time my brother poisoned this person by putting chocolate Ex-lax pieces in a thing of Ben and Jerry’s, so when can you come over for dessert?

I WANTS IT!

ME NEEDS IT!

MY PRECIOUSSSS...

At times like this, I'm annoyed with my dad because he can afford an RM2k mobile phone. (Uii.. dy, buy me new phone laaa...) Whenever I see it lying on the table, so innocently, so invitingly, so... so tantalizingly... I either feel like crushing it to pieces or steal it and bring it to Miri. -insert sinister laughter-

It has Big 2 too. Now I can play it without buying the cards and teach my siblings how to play it or wait for Min, Felix and Dian. Heh heh. But I keep on LOSING. Stupid phone.

But I still want it. Should I steal it? Master Azim, I need your guidance...

What do you guys think? Or should I just throw my old phone (take the SIM card first, of course. I ain't dumb) to the Sarawak river (which is like next to my house. The sea is too far) and go home with a pathetic face and a sad story and hope my dad will buy me new one?

Back back back!!

I am in Kuching! Yay! I'm so happy. =)

Renee, Dian, Felix and Muhaimin went to see me (and I guess Nezz too) before we go to the airport. It was so sweet. Sigh. =)

At the airport, Jasmine and Sarah went to see me. It was such a sweet sweet nice nice surprise.

Our flight was delayed for an hour btw. Hmph. But at least we got back home safe and sound.

Saiful, where were you ha? Hmph.

Updates!

Wow. I know it's been nearly a month since I wrote about anything. I’m so sorry but I’ve been pretty busy, as you soon shall find out after reading this entry. I shall make it up to you so here's a very extremely long entry. (Ignoring the fact that there were no complaints at all about my absence here). Here we go…!

FIRST
Last month, Nez and I went to Boulevard because he wanted to buy new sandals cause his sandals "rupa kedak sial jak". So nyways.. drive drive drive to Boulevard... then! we saw 3 old (not to mention unattractive) policemen at the small roundabout at Boulevard. We scrambled for our seatbelts... Yes, you've guessed it. Both of us didn't put on our belts. Sigh. The police asked us to stop and pull over. He asked for Nez's license or was it his ID? Ntah la. So nyways that was how we got fined! Nez's very first in Miri. And it was a new experience for me. Now I know what to do if I ever get fined. I'll look for Cbell and ask him to settle it for me!
(Yes, that's what Nez did anyway cause we don't know where the hell we have to go to pay that bloody fine)

SECOND
On 20th May 2005, Miri became a city! *Feeble woo-hoo* That evening, Dian, Ing Hui, Rining, Azim, Eric and I went to see Star Wars 3. But the stupid cinema fucked it all up. The screen went blank, it was out of proportion, the screen also went all white, the sound was on and off through out the whole movie. WTF. Dian started to chant, “Sound sound” followed by Ing Hui and then the rest of us and then before we know it the whole room was chanting. It was so awesome. Then we got bored and quietened down. But we were still watching a silent movie. Then I started to do the ‘zwang-zwang’ sound of the lightsaber and the ‘chiu-chiu-chiu’ of the laser guns. It was pretty fun and Azim joined in. I stopped when Ing Hui asked with that cute voice of hers (you know how she talks kan) “Nisa… why don’t you stand in the middle of the aisle?” Hahaha. So anyways, we went out of the cinema after 10 minutes of no sound at all and got refunds! Woot! Hee hee. I went to see Star Wars 3 the other night for free and now I watched it for free too.

We went to McD after that and ogled at Joffey. Well, only us girls of course. Rining actually know Joffey. They were childhood friends! The coincidence eh. So, we got Joffey’s number. I even memorise it. It was so easy. It’s 016-855… Do you really think I’m going to give it away HERE? Heh. We want to go to San Francisco after that to watch the fireworks, far away from the crowd at City Fan. We asked Joffey to come along but he has to clean up till 11.30… Poor thing. So anyways, at San Fran, I ordered a latte. Thank god I ordered that because it comes with a nice big mug. Azim asked me to steal it and so I did. I love my big bag. Hee hee. Oh God, I don’t know why I put that here…

THIRD
Then, there's Sarah's 19th SURPRISE birthday party. Yes, I feel that I need to emphasise that. Because that's what it really was. A surprise for ALL of us... There we all were, at Discovery. Cbell, Dian, Steff, Muhaimin, Felix, Jasmine and her 4 cool cousins, Syafiq and I were putting the candles on the cake. Nezz was downstairs. He was SUPPOSED to MISS CALL me when Sarah is there. Then, Cbell said "Hi Sarah! Good morning Sarah!" He was looking at the entrance. All were puzzled; I looked up from the cake in disbelief. There was the Birthday Girl, looking as puzzled as we were. And behind her was her sister, smiling. I said feebly "Surprise...?"

Oh well. All is not lost. The main thing was that she was surprised. You see, she actually knew that we had a party planned. So I cooked up a very nice juicy lie. And she gobbled it all up without questions. I called her up a few hours before the party, casually telling her (after we chatted about some other random stuff) that yes we DID have a party planned for her but it was CANCELLED because a lot of people couldn't make it. My mum and sis are coming that night, Felix's parents are there, Renee has work, and Jasmine has to help with a family wedding, Ing Hui's not in town... All these are true so it was easy to lie. I cleverly manipulate the facts. Oh I love myself then. I still love myself. I'm so clever sometimes. Ahem. So anyways... when she came to Discovery, she really didn't expect to see us all there. She actually suspected Mona and her mum are up to something. So, the party was a great success.

We went to Esplanade after that. But I don't want to write about that. But it was a hella of a time, let me tell you. *Grin*

FOURTH
Dian, Azim and I met up with Joffey at Al Fresco the next night. He looked so adorable without his cap and McD uniform on. Just thinking about it makes me all smiley. Damn. We talked for nearly 2 hours till I was shivering with cold. Joffey noticed that and announced that we should go back home cause I’m already cold. How sweet is that? He even paid for all of our drinks. Aww…

FIFTH and LAST
Then, there's my mum coming to town. With Nena, Azee and Udin! Udin came to see me! My darling little brother. The quiet one, the one who never really mention he misses me but I know he does, the one who has the shy smile. No matter how tall he’ll get till I can’t see his head, he’ll always be my little brother… Awww... I love them so much. I love my mummy. Eh, why am I gushing all mushy stuff. I'm supposed to tell you what happened. So anyways... yea they came. Bla bla bla (dah mula malas mok type). Brought them to Boulevard, Bintang Plaza (went to McD and saw Joffey again! I was at another line and he was taking the order of some old couple but he smiled when he saw me and said “Hey! Hi Nisa!” Waaa… *swoon swoon* He called my name… Ahhh…) and Imperial Mall. Didn't manage to go to M² though. We went to watch House of Wax. I was kinda horrified that the cinema didn’t seem to cut any of the gruesome, gory (very nice) scenes. I’m watching with my mum for goodness sake. She’s just beside me. *SPOILERS* (highlight the sentence to read it) With all the sex innuendoes and Paris Hilton’s head drilled with a pole and wax everywhere… Yes, she died along with her boyfriend in the movie. But my mum was quiet through out the movie. Nena was making a racket though, whispering and encouraging the actors/actresses to run faster etc. while shaking the whole entire seats…*Roll eyes* On our last day, I brought them to Esplanade. We arrived there at 5 p.m. It was still so hot. But that didn’t stop Azee and Udin to walk along the beach. They look like a bloody couple. Ugh. When I took their pictures with the sand things that they made, they look even more like a couple. Bloody fuck. That is so wrong. But then again, they’ll only look like a couple if people don’t know them. So anyways. Ate lots of chicken’s parts. Hee hee. So happy just recalling everything back. Yeah, then we all went home. Sad. Tired. I haven’t slept properly for a week and I’ve gone out to town for 5 consecutive days. But I’ll see them again in a few weeks time. So no worries.

Can’t think of anything else. I might miss a few events but I can’t be bothered to type it all here anyway. Anyway, I think you guys are bored reading this, thinking "When does it END?!!" Congratulations to those who have read all the above and made it this far.

Just for the record, I’ve typed nearly 1400 words including this paragraph. That’s more than Yasmin’s 2nd essay for MCI 111! Amazing ain’t it? ;)
