Ultraman

Ultraman at Sunset

This is for Fakhrain, who suggested I draw Ultraman.

N, forgive me if it's not an accurate representation of Ultraman. There were so many versions of him and I got confused ahaha.. I never was much of a fan and I've obviously never drew this before. But it was something new and as someone who is just starting to draw, one should practice and draw just about everything. Hope it's good enough for you. d=

Sketched with mechanical pencil. Line art and colouring with Photoshop 7.0. Once again my arms are retarded. Shading's like crap. Seriously I've no sense of lighting/shading at all... Sigh.

Hiatus

Won't be updating anything (this blog, deviantART, Facebook, Friendster and whatever else I have) cause I'm too busy leveling up my Priest in World of Warcraft.

Yes I'm a nerd, dork, idiot whatever you would like to call me.

Nothing you can say will make me change cause I'm not that shallow anyway.

I'll be back to drawing and writing once I reach level 70.

Maybe.

But I will still be checking up my sites. So do drop by to say hello or give comments.

Another One

Why I chose this character? Cause I like him till this very day. Looks better than the first one, right? All I need to do is keep practicing. I'm horrible in drawing body proportion, hands, hair, shading... Okay, let's just say drawing in general. I'll stick to manga and chibis for now cause I totally suck at realism.

My First CG =D

I haven't drawn anything serious since I was 17. So I was a bit rusty. Not that I was ever good at drawing anyway.

I always draw using pencil only. Yesterday, I was at Gaia Online and asked someone to draw my avatar and she came up with this. Lowenna's my username in Gaia. SoberAngel is the artist and isn't she awesome?

By SoberAngel

So, I felt inspired to draw again since I had nothing else to do. I chose manga style because it is easy. So, I drew this on the Curtin diary. A simple, mid-shot and front view of my avatar (actually I didn't have anyone in mind when I first started).

First sketch.

Not satisfied with stopping here, I wanted to try something new. To colour my sketch using Photoshop. Since I do not have a scanner, I used a digital camera to upload it into the computer.

I tried to do it with my first sketch. But as I was deleting all those stupid lines, I grew tired and bored.

So, I found a paper (notes from Journalism 111 haha) and traced my original sketch. To be able to see the lines properly, I actually went to the window to see my drawing. Ahaha I'm so sad.

So, anyways, I finished with a rather sloppy sketch.

Lineart.

Took a few pictures and upload it. Open my Photoshop.... I don't think you guys want much detailing? The way I did it was weird, awkward and based on trial and error. Spent the rest of my afternoon in front of the computer.

Here's the finished drawing.

Done!

Shading was tedious and you can barely see it here! And look at that right arm! Sigh. But it's my first and I'm extremely proud that my drawing is actually recognizable and the colouring is alright. I'm a happy bunny. -eyes shine like the pic-

I'm done with my exam today and I am so overjoyed! Happy! Euphoric! Glad!

Whahahahaha...

Yes, just want to gloat over that.

$6 000 watermelon anyone?

In the Japanese society, melons are a luxury items and are often given as gifts. Most melons are priced between $100-$300.

The watermelon above is probably one of the most expensive in the world. Kazuyoshi Ohira, a spokesman for the Tohma Agricultural Cooperative in Hokkaido explained, "It's the unusual black skin and unparalleled taste. It's a watermelon but it's not the same."

Rightttt. If that's the case, I'm going to be a farmer and grow black melons in my backyard and export them to Japan... Oh man I'll be so rich...

So dear readers, here's the question. What kind of person will buy a $6 000 melon? Ridiculous, funny theories are more than welcome.

Oil Price Increase

40% increase! That's the biggest jump. Sure the government is giving cash rebates to private car owners. But only RM625 per year. People spend that in 2 months plus! This is crazy.

The government told us to be more wise in spending. Be thrifty and try to find additional income. Change your lifestyle and don't make unnecessary purchases.

This is stupid. Telling us what to do and how to live our lives. They are reducing people's buying power. What we need is an increase in our income.

What do you guys think?

Gaia Online

Seems like I haven't been updating in a while. I blame it on Gaia. I know it's silly but it makes me happy. And I spend hours and hours online it's bordering to addiction! Hmm... or maybe I'm already addicted. (Damnit)

See I even have a Gaia toolbar, for crying out loud. Ya'know, to monitor my gold, who's online or not etc. Am I pathetic or what? (Don't answer)

Gaia Online seems childish to most. And yes a lot of kids (20 years old and below) go there. But there are a lot of adults too, which still surprises me. Gaia is an anime-themed social networking and forums-based website. You get to dress your tiny little customizable avatars and post in the forums.

It's silly to go crazy over a few coloured pixels or virtual gold but there you go. Insanity happens to everyone.
